At the beginning of the 20th century, a man named José María García Lahiguera emerged, who understood his whole life as a pressing call to holiness, concretized in his own charism: priestly holiness. He himself wrote in some exercise notes made in March 1939: “In me there are what we would call two vocations, the interior and the exterior. The interior vocation is: To be a holy priest. The exterior vocation is: to be the priest of priests”.
